The undersigned, on behalf of the belownamed Organization, or Group, certifies and affirms the following: That he/she is the authorized representative of the belownamed Group and has the full authority for all purposes regarding this Ouray Ice Park Reservation procedure. That he/she has read and understands the Ouray Ice Park Rules and Regulations included with this statement. That the Group and its employees, participants, and representatives, shall at all times and in all manner, during the term of the Reservation Agreement, abide by all duly adopted Ouray Ice Park Rules and Regulations.

General:

1) Crampons are required for all persons (climbers or otherwise) in the established and posted “climber only” areas. Crampons and a helmet are required for all persons while climbing or in the bottom of the gorge.
2) All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult in the Ouray Ice Park.
3) All dogs must be leashed while in the Ouray Ice Park and no dogs will be allowed in the bottom of the gorge.
4) No anchoring to any manmade structures including the penstock.
5) All climbing in the “Schoolroom” area must be on fixed anchors established and defined the Ouray Ice Park.

Large noncommercial groups:

These groups shall be defined as:
1) 8 or more persons.
2) Noncommercial (i.e. not paying anyone or organization for instruction).
Rules:
1) Groups may not occupy more than four climbing routes in any one specific area. (i.e. Schoolroom, New Funtier, South Park)
2) The maximum amount of time a group may occupy any one route is 3 hours.
3) No unattended fixed toprope lines.

Commercial guiding operations:

1) Only CGO’s with a OIP Commercial Guiding Permit may operate in the Ouray Ice Park.
2) Any one permittee may not occupy more than two routes in any one area.
3) Permittee may not exceed a 4:1 client:guide ratio.
4) No more than four routes in the “Schoolroom” area may be occupied by any combination of permittees (i.e. if service #1 has 2 routes and service #2 has 2 routes, then service #3 must climb elsewhere.
5) The maximum amount of time a permittee can occupy any one route is 3 hours.
6) No unattended fixed toprope lines.
