If you are interested in competing at the 2012 Ouray Ice Festival:
- Please review the Competition Rules. There you will find information on the rules, regulations, judging criteria and logistics.
- Download the OIPI Competition Application. Fill it out completely; save it; and send the completed form via email or snail mail OIPI, PO Box 1058, Ouray, CO 81427.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS INFO IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. This years competition will be held on Saturday January 7. If you are interested in participating, please fill out the competition application and purchase a membership.
Applications are due on, or before, DECEMBER 15, 2012. Applications received after that date will not be considered. Notification will be provided to you on or before DECEMBER 20, 2012, as your acceptance.
Stay tuned for 2012 competition route information. The route will have colored quickdraws and signs posted identifying it as the official competition route. Avoid climbing in this areas so you can avoid being disqualified! Maps and information about the Upper and Lower bridges can be found on this Website.
The competition will again be leash-less and spur-less, and is open to any member of the Ouray Ice Park. If you are not already a member, click here to become a member. Competitor applicants must be members and will be selected for the competition based upon their qualifications and experience by the Ouray Ice Park board of directors.
