Paradox Sports Annual Ice Climbing Program

Cost: $350 per person (Registration Required)

Paradox Sports returns for their annual Ouray Ice Climbing Program! This is their longest-running program and sells out every year, offering instruction and guidance from world-class ice climbers. They provide instruction for all ages, abilities, and mobility levels.

  • What to Expect: A full weekend of climbing, community, and instruction. The trip includes professional guides, lodging (shared rooms), meals (Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), and technical ice climbing equipment.

  • Accessibility: This trip is rated a 3 out of 5 for accessibility. The approach includes a 1/2 mile walk on snow/ice and a robust lowering system is available for wheelchair users to access the gorge.

  • Saturday Night Event: Join the Annual "Got Stump?" Celebration on Saturday from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. This award is given to an adaptive climber who goes above and beyond to prove what is possible.

Schedule Highlights:

  • Fri 2/20: Check-in (4 PM), Welcome Dinner (6 PM).

  • Sat 2/21: Full day of climbing (9 AM – 4 PM), Dinner (5:30 PM), "Got Stump" Celebration (7 PM – 9 PM).

  • Sun 2/22: Half day of climbing (9 AM – 2 PM), Depart Ouray (2 PM).

Note: There will be spot closures in South Park to facilitate the event, but the area remains open to the public.
