Weekly Conditions Reports

Get the latest beta directly from our team on the ground! Every week during the season, our Ice Farmers and Rangers thoroughly assess the conditions throughout the Ouray Ice Park. Their detailed report gives you insights into ice quality, route status, potential hazards, and overall park conditions to help you plan your climb safely and effectively. They will be posted right here for the 26/27 season!

LIVE ICE PARK CAMERAS

Wondering what the ice looks like right now? Check out our live streaming cameras positioned throughout the Ouray Ice Park! Thanks to our partners at ClearNetworx and their high-speed connection, you can get a real-time view of conditions before you head out.

Current Weather at Dick’s Chalet

Planning Your Climb? While this provides a general overview, mountain weather can change rapidly. For the most accurate and detailed forecasts specific to the San Juan Mountains, please consult dedicated weather services like the National Weather Service (weather.gov) or mountain-specific forecast providers before heading out. There are also really great apps out there like Windy.

Ouray Ice Park Guide

Due to the Gorge’s easy access, the best way to navigate the Park is to send one climber down to look at the ice and one up top to set the rope. We highly recommend using radios. Rocky Talkie is our favorite brand. Here is a map of the Ouray Ice Park. If you have any questions find us at Dick’s Chalet!
