Current Condtions:
We continue to update everyone on the conditions in the park even though we are not open.
This week has been a mixed bag of temps. For the most part, we’ve been sitting just a little too warm to Farm but we’re starting to see a shift. Last night our Farmers were able to get light sprayers turned on for the South end of the Park and plan to run the entire Park tonight. The next couple of days look very promising with cold temperatures on the horizon. The incoming storm is set to bring snow as well as the colder temperatures we’ve been hoping for. We’ll be navigating spraying and snow conditions carefully to maximize Farming opportunities.
You’ve likely seen the announcement about the Park hosting an Iceless Festival this year. We hope you join us! It’s going to be silly in all the best ways. What does that mean for opening day? Staff are still committed to doing everything they can to get the Park open for an ice climbing season. At the moment we don’t have enough of a base of ice to solidly estimate an opening date. The next couple weeks will give us a much clearer picture and we will make an announcement as soon as we confidently can.
Thank you all for hanging with us. We understand how frustrating it is to have so many unknowns and we appreciate your patience as we continue to dig deep to make ice.
