Current Condtions:

Opening weekend was fantastic!  Mild daytime temperatures and clear skies welcomed us into the season.  The park wasn’t overly busy as we imagine a lot of you are traveling and spending time with family and friends this week.  Cheers and blessings to all of you during this holiday season!

That said, those of you who came during our first week largely reported the ice quality is better than expected this early in the season.  We agree, and we are all stoked on your feedback!

All areas are open, EXCEPT: GRAD SCHOOL, BETWEEN THE BRIDGES, STUMP WALL.  Please also be mindful of spot closures in areas marked with orange CLOSED signs.

NOTE: Some anchor pads, especially in South Park, have two climbs marked by tags on keychains. One may be open while the other is closed. Closed routes on anchor pads like this will have a CLOSED sign attached to its specific corresponding keychain tag. Check closely!

Some shell ice and chandelier ice still exists throughout the park on open routes with the least traffic at this early stage in the season.  Heads up to you and your belayer!

It’s been a tad mild so we are still working with Mother Nature to build some steeper terrain in the park, and to fatten up climbs in areas already open.  The week ahead should offer consistently colder overnight temperatures such that we can turn on sprayers and build more quality ice that will be climbable all season.  We’ll update y’all as we bring more terrain online in the coming weeks! Come swing and kick those new sharp things Santa dropped off for ya!
