  • Snow fall has caused some shell ice to form. Listen for hollow sounds, and be careful!

🧊 Current CONDITIONS

Operations are well underway here in Ouray. The week after Ice Fest allowed us to put some water in the gorge and get the full length of the park open. Since then, farming conditions haven’t been ideal, but farmers have endeavored to take advantage of any windows of opportunity available to get more routes open. This week they’ve been working to articulate sprayer heads to fill in spots along forming routes. 

The only full areas closed in the park are Grad School in the south end, and Stump Wall in the north end. The Lead area was closed for a couple days earlier this week as some water came down Camp Bird Rd, making those climbs a little dirty. Upon inspection, we reopened this area. As always, treat the Lead Only Area as a backcountry setting and use discretion here. All other areas in the park are open.

Spot closures are still out there, so be aware of those. We’ll open more routes as we are able to shape them up. Come chill!
