open Climbing areas

We are aware that finding open climbing can be very challenging during the Ouray Ice Festival. We have over 100 Clinics offered that take up a lot of routes. We’ve done our best this year to balance keeping certain climbing areas open. The following areas open for recreational climbing:

  • Deep South

  • New Funtier

  • Most of Pic O’ The Vic (please respect clinics have priority)

  • Lead Only (still Lead only during Ice Fest)

  • Between the Bridges (top belay only)
