PR Assistant

As our PR person, tasks include:

• Checking in climbers and assisting them with San Juan Mountain Guides release forms.

• Handing out number badges and sending them over to the Gear Up area. 

• Working with Ouray Ice Park Farmers and Rangers, as well as other volunteers, to ensure the climbing clinic water jugs and hot beverage station are stocked.

• Checking in volunteers.

This position is outside, so please dress for cold temperatures. We advise you to have winter boots, a warm jacket hat, and gloves.

The Walk-Up Wall is open from 10am-3pm. 

Physical Activity: Standing/sitting in cold temperatures.

Check in Location: The Walk-Up Climbing Wall (known as the Kids' Wall) located next to the Upper Bridge near Dick's Chalet.

Please be on time as we want to make sure we can train you before we open at 10am! At the end of your shift, please check in with an OIPI staff member, as we need to make sure the next volunteer is trained before you hand off the baton! If you need to leave early, please check in with an OIPI staff member. Thank you!
